![]() Elijah was born and raised in Watertown, Wisconsin, and graduated from Watertown High School in 2000. Immediately after graduation, he entered the United States Army as an All-Source Intelligence Analyst. In addition to an associate degree in criminal justice, he earned a bachelor degree in psychology in 2015, an associate degree in human services with an emphasis in substance abuse counseling, and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work degree through the Arizona State University School of Social Work. Through his experiences with the military medical and mental health systems, the VA medical system, and various county and state agencies, he believes that he can drive change through administration and policy. However, just as equal a passion is that of treating substance abuse disorders and associated issues, including trauma and biopsychosocial dysfunction due to substance use. Throughout his studies and practical experiences, Elijah has gained valuable training in providing treatment services above and beyond standard substance abuse counseling. He is trained and capable of providing intensive Cognitive-Behavioral and Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy modalities and incorporates each of these as needed during treatment. |
